Government motion on the conduct of House business

Motion passed 48 to 40

A government motion under Standing Order 16 (4) that further defers the already deferred division on second reading of Bill M 219 to the start of the next afternoon's Orders of the Day, and defers any division taken in Section B until then.

Standing Order 16(4) lets the House put off a recorded division on a debatable motion to a fixed later time. The deferral is done by a government motion, moved without notice and decided at once without amendment or debate; the practice is to agree the time between the caucuses before a division is called and to move the motion only when no agreement is reached. This motion deferred the already deferred division on second reading of Bill M 219, the Health Authorities Amendment Act, 2025, a second time, to the start of Orders of the Day on the afternoon of December 2, 2025, and deferred any division taken in Section B until then.
