Supply Act, 2026-2027

Appropriates $84.4 billion for the public service and $1.45 billion for financing transactions for the year ending March 31, 2027.

Every year the Legislature must pass a Supply Act before the government can spend what the budget sets out. The budget's estimates list the spending by vote, one for each ministry and office; the Committee of Supply goes through them, and the final Supply Act authorizes the total in one bill that the House passes without debate or amendment. Bill 22 covers the year from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027: $84.36 billion in operating votes, of which Health is $36.0 billion, Education and Child Care $10.0 billion and Social Development and Poverty Reduction $6.0 billion, and a further $1.45 billion for capital spending and loans.
