Property Rights Protection Act

Repeals the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, declares the United Nations declaration to have no legal force in British Columbia, and requires consultation with owners before a government decision affects their property, as the mover described it on first reading.

Beyond the repeal, the bill directs public officials to defend property rights in their decisions. It makes consultation with the owner a condition of any government decision that affects private property.
